The parent body, Australian Hindu Multicultural Association Inc. (AHMA) was established in 1993 with the aim of promoting social, religious, cultural and educational activities for the benefit of the communities with Indian heritage. AHMA at its inception recognised the importance of education in language, arts and culture. In addition to establishing a cultural centre at 1050 Richmond Road, Marsden Park, also established the School of Language Arts & Culture, AHMA Hindi School in Western Sydney which has played a pivotal role in achieving the objectives of the Association. The Hindi school had humble beginnings but today the School is well established and stands proud in its achievement and accomplishment
The AHMA School of Language Arts & Culture, AHMA Hindi School was inaugurated in in July 1994 with about 12 students and only a few teachers. Initially the Hindi school commenced to operate from Doonside cottage, then moved to Plumpton Primary followed by Crawford primary and then to Doonside Technology High School. Subsequently, in 2008 the Hindi school relocated to modern premises at Quakers Hill High School in Western Sydney.
